1 pound cooked meat of choice ( ham, bacon, sausage, chicken etc)
1 quart half and half
12 eggs 1 teaspoon salt
pepper to taste
4 cups hearty white bread, the better the bread the better the casserole will be! butter the bread and cut into cubes
12 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
scallions to taste
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

Directions:

Butter 13 x 9 pan.
Beat together eggs, 1/2 and 1/2, salt, pepper, mustard, and scallions.
Layer 1/2 the bread, 1/2 the meat, 1/2 cheese, and repeat process. Pour egg mixture over all and let sit over night.
Bake at 350º for an hour or so until set.
Let cool a bit before serving.

I have made this before and not let it set overnight, but it is better if you do. This is a hearty breakfast that everyone loves!
