Mix together:
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
Mix together in small bowl and add to above mixture:
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. hot water
Add:
1/2 c. sour milk with 1 tsp. soda added in
Slowly stir in:
2 2/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
Drop biscuit size on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 until cookie is spongy like a cake.

Icing:
1 lb. box powdered sugar
2 egg whites
1/2 c. Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla
Beat with electric mixer until fluffy. When cookies are cool, put two together, flat side together with generous portion of icing between them. Wrap them individually in plastic wrap. Can be frozen.
