Spaghetti with Garlic and Broccoli Recipe

1 lb. spaghetti, dry
salt to taste for water
3 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
1/2-1 whole head of broccoli (depending on size and preference) cut into florets
2 8 ounce cans chicken stock ( 2 cups if made fresh)
optional-1/2 onion sliced in half, then into thin slices.
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Boil water for pasta. Salt the water just before adding pasta. Cook until al dente. Keep the pasta water boiling for bleaching of broccoli.
Sauté onion over medium heat until translucent.
Add garlic being careful not to brown too much.
Transfer into small sauce pot.
Add blanched broccoli, cook until al dente and add cooked pasta.
Finally add chicken stock, and bring to a boil.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Once it boiling, its done. Eat pasta and broccoli alone, or in a bowl with broth.
