Ingredients: 2 baked round white cake layers (9 inch), cooled 2 c boiling water, divided 2 pkgs 4 serving size Jello - fun colors/flavors 1 tub 8 oz cool whip thawed, divided

Directions:1. Pierce cakes with large for at 1/2- inch intervals 2. Combine 1 c boiling water into each flavor Jello in separate bowls, stir until completely dissolved, about 2 min. Carefully pour 1 color over each cake layer (ie. one blue and one red). Refrigerate for 3 hours. 3. Dip one cake pan in warm water for 10 sec.; unmold onto serving plate. Spread with about 1 c of the whipped topping. Unmold second cake layer; carefully place on first cake layer. Frost top and side of cake with remaining whipped topping. Refrigerate 1 hour or until ready to serve. Optional - Top with fresh fruit. |
