Nana's Chicken and Dumplings Recipe

Hen or roasting chicken (if fryer, cook less)

Dumplings:
1.5 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
3-4 tsp. parsley

Directions:
Directions:
Cook chicken 2-3 hours in water (half way up chicken). Bring
to a boil, then simmer. Remove chicken, debone, put on
platter in oven.

Dumplings:
Mix ingredients but NOT TOO MUCH.
Dip metal spoon into boiling liquid from chicken, then into
batter to pick up spoonful and drop into liquid.
Cover with lid--cook 12 minutes--do not peek!
