3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
4 eggs
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
apple filling:
5 or 6 apples - peeled and sliced
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:

mix dry ingredients together - then mix in remaining ingredients
divide mixture in 1/2
layer 1st half of batter in ungreased tube or angel food pan, place apple filling on top and then pour remaining batter over it
top with sliced apples
350 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes
