2 c sugar
1 c light Karo syrup
1/2 c ginger ale
1 tsp. flavoring
food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar, syrup and ginger ale until mixture reaches the "hard crack" stage 310º. Mix in flavoring and food coloring. Pour out on an aluminum lined lipped cookie sheet. Let cool. Break into pieces.

This recipe is from Aunt Phylis. I have used it for Christmas presents. Making one red with cinnamon. One with green and flavored with mint. One yellow and flavored with lemon
