10 egg whites, room temperature ¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon cream of tartar 1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla 2 cups sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites with salt, and cream of tartar until stiff, but not dry (about 10 minutes). Add sugar gradually; also vinegar. Beat about 10 to 15 minutes longer. Add vanilla. Bake in 9x12 inch pan. Grease only bottom of pan. Preheat oven to 400º. Place torte in oven and turn off heat. Do not open oven door until cool at least 3 hours or overnight.
