5 lrg. Tart Apples 1/4 tsp. Salt
1 pastry-lined 9" pie pan 1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 T. Lemon Juice 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
3/4 C. White Sugar 1/4 C. Butter or Margarine
1/3 C. Flour 1 C. light Sour Cream

Peel and cut apples into thick slices. Arrange in overlapping rows in pastry-lined pie pan. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg and cut in butter or margarine until crumbly. Spoon this mixture over the apples. Cover with foil and bake for 30 min. at 350º . Then uncover, spread sour cream over the top to within one inch of the side of pie pan and continue baking for another 20-25 min. or until apples are tender.

She knew I liked anything (desert) with apples in it.
