1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
2 eggs beaten
2 c. boiling water
1/4 c. luke warm water
2 cakes yeast
8 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, salt and shortening together. Pour boiling water over sugar mixture and stir until ingredients are dissolved. Cool until luke warm. In separate bowl, dissolve yeast in luke warm water with 1 tsp. of sugar added. Add beaten eggs into this mixture and then add sugar mixture. Mix these together with 4 cups flour. Beat thoroughly and add the other 4 cups of flour and continue beating until thoroughly blended together. Cover and put in icebox until needed.

2 hours before baking time, remove portion of dough needed. Make out into rolls of any desired shape. Cover and let rise. Bake in an oven of 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove and brush with butter.
