2 cups brown sugar
2 cups milk
3/4 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
6 T. flour
3 or 4 egg yokes, beaten
(save white for meringue)
1 baked 9-inch pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Mix and cook brown sugar, flour and milk. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add a small portion of pudding mixture into the beaten eggs. Add the egg/pudding mixture into the larger portion of the pudding and return to heat. Cook until thick and add the butter and vanilla. When cool, pour into cooled pie crust and top with meringue or Cool Whip.
