1/2 C. softened butter
1/2 C. shortening
1-1/2 C. sugar (okay to substitute Splenda Blend)
2 eggs
2-1/4 C. all purpose flour
2 tsp. cream of tarter
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix thoroughly butter, shortening, 1-1/2 C. sugar and eggs. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls. Mix 2 T. granulated sugar (can use Splenda Blend) and 2 tsp. cinnamon together in separate bowl. Roll unbaked balls in sugar-cinnamon mixture and place 2 inches part on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400 or until set Immediately remove from baking sheets to cool.

This is Linda's all-time favorite cookie, straight out of an old Betty Crocker Cookbook -- they are chewy and yummy -- especially good while still warm.
