14 oz. package caramels
1 tbsp. water
10 oz. package short pretzel rods
8 oz. german sweet chocolate or semi sweet choc.
2 tsp. shortening
1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
In double boiler, melt caramels in water.
Dip half of each pretzel into hot caramel.
Place on greased sheet of foil to cool.
In a saucepan, melt chocolate and shortening over low heat. Dip caramel-coated end of pretzel into chocolate, sprinkle with nuts and return to foil to cool.
