2 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. dark brown sugar
2 - 3 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 lb. unsalted butter (room temperature)
2 eggs (room temperature)
2 c. bittersweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Dry mix the flour, salt and baking soda.
2. Dry mix the white and dark brown sugars
3. Add vanilla and butter to sugars and mix until well blended.
4. Add eggs and mix until creamy.
5. Add half of flour mixture and blend in thoroughly, then repeat with remaining flour.
6. Add chips and nuts and mix in thoroughly.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Measure out in tsp. size balls. Bake 7 - 10 minutes.
Note: I hand mix in a large bowl with a wooden spoon. I also hand chop the nuts from pecan or walnut halves.
