6 lbs. chicken wings
1 cup flour
1 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. dried basil leaves
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
1/2 cup hot sauce
celery sticks (optional)
blue cheese dressing (optional)

Cut off wingtips, and discard. Cut wings in half.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, paprika, 1 tsp. dried basil, salt, and pepper. Coat chicken wings in flour mixture.
Pour about 2 inches of oil Into a large dutch oven pan and heat oil to medium-high heat. Fry the wings until brown and then drain on paper towels.
In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Stir in hot sauce and remaining 1 tsp. basil; cook for 5 min. Pour over wings. Serve with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing if desired.
