3/4 c butter or margerine
1 c sugar
1 egg
4 T molasses
2 c flour
2 tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cloves
granulated sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar
Add egg and molasses
Combine dry ingredients add to mix
beat until smooth
Refridgerate for minimum 2 hours
Roll in small balls size of quarters
Roll in granulated sugar coating well
2 " apart on greased cookie sheet
350º for 12 minutes
Cool 1 minutes on cookie sheet before removing

These cookies are very gingery rather than gingerbreadish! ( I forgot the soda and ended up with wonderful chewy snaps. SH)
