5 tbsp butter
3 large baking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 c brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 large eggs
2 tbsp dark corn syrup
French bread or Texas toast sliced
1 c milk
cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
In large heavy skillet melt butter over medium heat. Add apple slices, cook until tender. Add sugar, corn syrup, and cinnamon to taste. Cook stirring until sugar dissolves. Pour mixture into 9x13 pan-arrange bread on top. With fork beat eggs, milk and vanilla. Pour over bread. Cover refrigerate overnight. Bake at 375º uncovered for 35 minutes.
