1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon butter (do not use margarine)
1 1/2 cups raw peanuts

Directions:
Directions:
Grease or spray cookie sheet/pan and set aside. Measure all ingredients before you start. Mix sugar, syrup and salt in heavy skillet over medium heat until slightly mixed and dissolved. Add peanuts, cook and stir until mixture starts changing color to light golden. Quickly stir in soda and butter (do not caramelize).
Mix and pour onto cookie sheet/pan.
DO NOT SPREAD, but tilt pan from side to side until even thickness.
Let cool, crack on back side of pan with knife handle.
