1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. milk
1 pkg. of Jello® Instant Pudding (chocolate or vanilla)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip®

Directions:
Directions:
In one bowl, blend with mixer the powdered sugar, pudding, and cream cheese. Beat until smooth and place in refrigerator. In a separate bowl, mix (with mixer) milk, pudding, and vanilla. Next, mix the two bowls together. Fold Cool Whip® in the bowl and cover and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

This is so good (my children love it much more than canned icing). It goes great with chocolate cake or vanilla and the icing can be chocolate or vanilla. Avoid over beating and the stiffer the icing the better. Take cream cheese out ahead of time to soften up. You can also use food dye to add color.
