3 c. self rising flour
4 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 stick margarine (melted)
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
ICING:
2 c. water
2 c. sugar
4 bananas thinly sliced

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix ingredients well. Pour into 3 greased and floured cake pans. Bake cakes approximately 30-45 minutes or until knife comes out clean. Cool cake layers.

ICING:
Stir sugar and water in saucepan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Add 1 thinly sliced banana and simmer for approximately ten minutes. Remove from heat.
Place one cake layer on cake plate. Stick holes all over cake layer with a knife. Place 1 thinly sliced banana over layer. Spoon liquid icing on layer. Repeat process for rest of cake layers.
