4 baking apples (about 6 oz each) 1/4 c packed brown sugar
2 tbsp finely chopped nuts 1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp butter 1/4 c water

Directions:
Directions:
Core apples, leaving small plug in the bottom end and peel skin 1 inch from the top. Combine sugar, nuts, and cinnamon. Fill apples with mixture. Arrange apples in 8 inch square baking dish. Dot with butter and sprinkle with water. Cover with plastic wrap. Cook in the microwave on high for 7-9 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes, serve warm or chilled. Spoon sauce over apples. Great with vanilla ice cream.
