8 pork chops, cut 1/2" thick
1/2 C soy sauce
1/3 C packed brown sugar
1/3 C dry sherry cooking wine
1/4 C vinegar
2 T vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 t ground ginger

Directions:
Trim excess fat from pork chops. Place the pork chops in a plastic bag; set in a shallow dish.

For the marinade: Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sherry, vinegar, oil, garlic and ginger. Pour over chops. Close the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight, turning the bag several times.

Drain the chops; reserve the marinade. Grill chops on an uncovered grill directly over med-hot coals for 5 min. Turn chops and grill for 5 - 7 min. more or until no pink remains. Brush occasionally with the reserved marinade during grilling.
