Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Beef roast
salt & pepper
garlic powder (optional)
2-3 potatoes diced
2 stalks of celery, diced
3 sliced carrots
1 onion, diced
1/4 to 1/2 head of shredded cabbage

2 Tbsp. rice
handful of macaroni
2 Tbsp. barley
1 can stewed or quartered tomatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Cover roast with water, season with salt and pepper--and perhaps garlic powder, and cook until tender.

In a separate pan cook the vegetables (except cabbage) until tender.

In another pan, cook the shredded cabbage until tender

Cut cooked meat into small pieces, put back in pan with juice from it. Bring to a boil.

Add to the meat and broth the rice, macaroni, barley and tomatoes. Then add all the cooked vegetables and mix them together.

Simmer the soup awhile before eating.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I'm not a real big "buff" on soup, but I really do love this one! The nice part is that you can make a large batch--adding more of everything with a larger roast, and have it for many meals. I freeze everything, so you I'd suggest dividing it up for "later" (when you come home tired and want to put your feet up and watch a movie with your honey while you eat!)
