1 pint oysters, fresh or frozen
2 C coarse saltine cracker crumbs
1/2 C melted butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 C cream or evaporated milk

Directions:
Thaw oysters if frozen. Drain oysters. Combine cracker crumbs, melted butter, salt and pepper. Reserve 1/3 of mixture for topping. Place another 1/3 of crumb mixture in bottom of a well-greased 1 qt. casserole dish. Cover with a layer of oysters. Repeat layers. Add Worcestershire sauce to cream and pour over contents of casserole. Top with reserved 1/3 crumb mixture. Bake in a moderate oven, 350 for approx. 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
