1 pound cake (cut into 1-inch cubes)
1 - 8 oz. cream cheese (softened)
1/4 cup butter or oleo (softened)
1 cup confectioners sugar
3 1/3 cup milk
2 packages (3.4 oz. each) vanilla instant pudding
2 - 8 oz. cartons of frozen whipped topping (thawed)
2 pints strawberries slices (fresh or frozen)

Beat cream cheese, butter and sugar in bowl. In another bowl whisk milk and pudding - mix for 2 minutes. Add to cream cheese mixture and mix well. Fold in 1 - 8 oz. carton whipped topping. Place half of the cake cubes in trifle bowl. Top with half of strawberries. Top strawberries with half of pudding mixture - repeat layers & top with other 8 oz. carton of whipped topping

When using fresh strawberries I like to slice berries - sprinkle with a little sugar and a little water - mix and let set a few minutes before using.
