3 lbs. spare ribs
3/4 C catsup
3/4 C water
2 T. brown sugar
2 T. vinegar
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
2 onions, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
Garlic powder (optional)
1 green pepper, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle meat with salt, pepper and garlic powder. In hot skillet, brown ribs on all sides. While meat browns, make up sauce with all other ingredients and pour over ribs. Cover tightly and cook slowly in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 1-1/2 hours, basting often. Take lid off last 20 mins. so sauce will thicken to a nice richness.
