1 16 oz. box Quaker Oats Squares Cereal
2 C. pecans, broken
1/2 C light Karo syrup
1/2 C brown sugar
1/4 C butter
1 t. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda


Directions:
Directions:
Combine cereal and pecans. Place in a 9 x 13 pan. Combine syrup, butter, brown sugar in microwave safe bowl, cook for 1 1/2 mins. on full power, stir and cook another 30 seconds on full power. Stir in vanilla and soda and pour over cereal and pecans. Stir to coat evenly. Bake at 250 for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes. Take out of pan and cool. Break into pieces and store in air tight container.

This was June's favorite snack of all time!! She absolutely loved this. The original recipe I wrote down (from Mom) said, "zap" for 1-1/2 mins. and then stir and "zap" another 30 seconds. She was very cute.
