Ingredients:

1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup vegetable oil or corn oil
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp.salt
1/1/2 tsp. nutmeg or lemon (desired flavor)
3 tsp. baking powder
3 cups flour

Directions:

Pre-heat to 400º, bake 5 minutes.

Put 1 tsp. baking soda in buttermilk, whip, set aside.
Now, mix oil, sugar eggs, vanilla, salt, nutmeg or (lemon),baking powder and flour.

Mix all of these ingredients together, then add buttermilk mixture refrigerate over night.

It will appear fluffy when you take it out. Use lg. tsp. to drop on ungreased cookie sheet .
Sprinkle sugar on top just before you put in oven.

Very light and tasty!
