Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken 1 teaspoon garlic 1 teaspoon fresh ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon crushed hot green chili pepper I medium tomato 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder I can coconut cream 4 boiled eggs 4-6 pieces boiled potatoes 1 teaspoon chopped cilantro Juice of one lemon
Directions:
Wash chicken pieces, add garlic, ginger salt grated tomato. Place on stove, medium heat and saute for 10-15 minutes. Add 3- 4 cups water and bring to boil, until chicken is cooked.
In a separate pot, combine coconut cream, lemon juice and turmeric powder. Add two whole chili pepper in addition to the crushed green chillies. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Add chopped cilantro. As the sauce begins to thicken, add the chicken along with 1-2 cups of chicken stock. Add the boiled eggs, potatoes and let simmer to desired consistency. Serve with rice or fresh naan.

The real East African way is to broil or slightly char the chicken on a barbeque, prior to adding to the coconut sauce.
