2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. corn syrup, 1/2 c. cold water, 2 egg whites, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/2 c. nuts if desired

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, syrup, and water. Stir lightly until it starts to boil. Let boil until it forms hard ball when dropped into glass of cold water. Then pour slowly over the stiffly beaten egg whites, beating constantly until all the syrup is added. Stir in vanilla, beat until cold. Add nuts, drop on wax paper.
