6 mcintosh apples sliced, 6 Tbl. brown sugar, 2 tsp. cinnamon, 2 c. sugar, 3 c. flour, 1 tsp. salt, 3 tsp.baking powder, 2 1/2 tsp vanilla, 4 eggs, 1 c. oil, 1/4 c. orange juice

Directions:
Peal and slice the apples and add the 6 tsp. brown sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon in a bowl and let sit until ready to add. Mix well all the ingredients. Grease and flour angel food tin. Put in a layer of dough, then a layer of apples, starting with dough and ending in dough.(2 layers of apples and 3 layers of dough) Bake at 375 for 1 1/4 hours. Frost if desired.
