1 c. sugar or 1/2 c. honey, 2 3/4 c. flour, 2 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 c. oil (sunflower recomended), 1 c. boiling water, 2 c. buttermilk, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 eggs, 1 c. raisins or dates, 3/4 c. unprocessed red spring wheat bran

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over dates or raisins, or both, and baking powder. Mix together other ingredients. Add cooled date mixture and mix until well blended. Pour into greased muffin tins. Bake at 375 for 20 min.
