"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
1 c. sugar
1 c. Karo
1 c. Crunchy Peanut Butter
1 tsp. Vanilla
51/2 to 6 c. Rice Krispies
8 oz. package Butterscotch chips
8 oz. package Chocolate Chips
1/8 bar of melted Parafin

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar and Karo in a heavy saucepan, bring to a near boil. Add peanut butter and stir until dissolved, then add vanilla. Take off heat and add Rice Krispies. Mix well so krispies are all coated. Spoon mixture onto well buttered hands and roll them into small balls. Let cool. Meanwhile slowly melt the parafin, then add to the melted chips; blending well. Working quickly, dip each ball into the chip mixture, shaking off some of the excess chocolate and placing them onto waxed paper to set. I have done this with using a teaspoon, but a candy dipping spoon works much better. These taste wonderful, even without the chocolate.

Personal Notes:
This recipe was given to me, by my neighbor about 50 years ago and they have been sent to to Adam's, dad and Uncle, and our grandchildren while they were going to college as care packages. They also freeze well, if you can keep them that long.
This is always one of our favorites. Right, Adam?
