2 C. sugar
1 C. butter
2 1/2 C. applesauce
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
4 C. flour
1 lb. raisins
1 C. black walnuts
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream sugar and butter. Warm applesauce and mix in soda. Add this to sugar and butter mix. Sift flour with remaining dry ingredients. Wash raisins and dry them on paper towels, then roll them in flour mixture and add them to applesauce mixture. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour at 275 and then 45 minutes at 325
