16 C finely chopped cabbage 4 C chopped onion 1 C diced green pepper 1 C diced red pepper 1/2 C salt 2 C sugar 1 Tsp celery seed 2 C white vinegar Hot Sterlized Jars
Mix cabbage and peppers with salt in large bowl. Cover with water and ice cubes. Let stand over night at room temp. Drain very well in colander. Pack into jars. Combine sugar, celery seed and vinegar heat to boiling stirring constantly. Pour over slaw and seal. If jars do not seal refrigerate.
