2/3 cup sugar
3 eggs (separated)
3 bananas
3 T flour
t salt
2 cups milk
1 t vanilla
1 cooked pie shell
whipped cream and/or Cool Whip

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, flour and salt in top of double boiler. Stir in cold milk. Cook until thick (stirring constantly). Cover; cook 15 minutes without stirring. Stir a little of the hot mixture into the slightly beaten egg yolks. Add gradually to remaining mixture in boiler. Cook 2 minutes over hot water (stirring constantly). Cool thoroughly. Add vanilla. Slice bananas in pie shell and pour cooled filling over them. Let stand until firm. Add whipped cream or Cool Whip on top.
