¼ cup shortening ½ cup sugar 1 egg (well beaten) ½ t almond extract 1 cup salted or roasted peanuts (finely chopped) 2 cups ready-to-serve flake cereal
Cream shortening. Add sugar gradually. Beat in egg, and add peanuts, extract, and cereal. Mix thoroughly. Press mixture into rounded bowl with tablespoon. Drop in greased baking sheet 2” apart. Bake 375º for 12-15 minutes, or until well browned. Makes about 3 dozen.
