1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. shortening
2/3 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2-1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, shortening, and sugar. Add salt and vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Stir in flour; mix well. Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with floured glass. Bake @ 375 for 8-10 minutes. Remove immediately from pan. Makes 72.
