1 (11.5-ounce) package milk chocolate chips, divided use

1 (11-ounce) package butterscotch flavored chips, divided use

2 cups crunchy peanut butter, divided use (can also use plain peanut butter)

2 pounds powdered sugar

1 cup butter

1/2 cup evaporated milk

1/4 cup instant vanilla pudding mix

1 teaspoon maple flavoring

2 cups Spanish peanuts (can use almonds or other nuts if preferred)

Line a jelly roll pan with wax paper (or you can use a spray oil or parchment paper).
Combine half the chocolate chips, half the butterscotch chips and 1 cup peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 1 minute; stir. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each one, until mixture is smooth. Pour into prepared pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes (mixture should be firm, but not too firm).
Combine powdered sugar, butter, evaporated milk, vanilla pudding mix and maple flavoring in a medium mixing bowl. Beat until smooth. Spread over chocolate layer. Melt remaining chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and peanut butter in microwave. Stir in peanuts and pour over the top. Refrigerate until firm. Cut into small squares.
