1/2 lb. silivered almonds - toasted and chopped
1/2 lb. sliced almonds - toasted lightly crushed
1 c. butter
l T. corn syrup
1 1/3 c. sugar
3 T. water
1 large Hershey bar or 6 regular bars

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter, corn syrup, sugar, and water. Cook over medium-high heat to 300 , or until syrup begins to smoke. Add toasted, sliced almonds Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet (with sides). Cover a second cookie sheet with waxpaper. Spread half of the Hershery bar on hot toffee, cover with 1/2 toasted sliced almonds. Turn over on to the waxpaper covered cookie sheet. Spread second 1/2 of chocolate bar on toffee cover with remaining sliced toasted almonds. Cool. Using tip of a knife break in chunks. Store in a cool cupboard.
