"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous
3/4 cup cornmeal (I always use yellow) 1 1/4 cups flour 3/4 cup sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup milk 3/4 cup melted oleo 3 beaten eggs 1/3 cup molasses
In large bowl, measure cornmeal, flour, sugar, salt & baking powder. Mix well and add milk & melted oleo (margarine), slowly add beaten eggs. Stir only to blend (don't over stir will make it tough). Pour into 9 x 13 pan Bake 425º oven 20 minutes or until brown on top
