"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Spanish Rice, by Gayle Cornwell, is from Mama G's Favorites,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef Chopped onion Chopped celery 1-2 C rice (uncooked) 2-3 cans tomato sauce Garlic salt Salt & pepper
Brown ground beef with onion and celery. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until rice is done.
Especially for you Jess. This simple recipe has been your favorite since you were little. In fact, any time we had rice you were happy. Remember we use to tease you about being from China. You would have eaten rice at every meal if I would have let you. Enjoy!
