1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 C chopped onion 1 C celery 1 C diced carrots 3 medium potatoes, cut bite size 1 can 16 oz. stewed tomatoes or 1 can tomato juice and 1 T sugar 1 bay leaf 5 peppercorn 4 C water Salt & pepper to taste
Brown hamburger and onion. Pour off excess grease. Place in kettle. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 1-2 hours. Add beef bouillon cubes for extra flavor.
