Melt 1 cup butter in large roasting pan on top of stove. Mix in 1 cup of brown sugar and 1 cup of honey. Stir until dissolved.

Add 8 cups of old fashioned rolled oats. Stir until well blended. Cook in the oven at 300, stirring thoroughly, ever 15 minutes for 30-45 minutes - depending on how crunchy you like it.

Let cool, then mix in a number of different optional ingredients to suit your preference:

1 cup coconut
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup sesame and or flax seeds
1 cup bran buds
1 cup raisins

Mix well. Store in covered container

For cereal: add cold milk and fresh apple or banana pieces.

Can also be used for granola bars and topping on ice cream!
