2 pds, Heavy Beef Brisket or Soup Bone
1 large onion
2 tsp salt
2 celery sticks
1 large Irish potato
3 Quarts water
1 can tomatoes
1 cup chopped cabbage (optional)
3 carrot sticks chopped or frozen carrots
1 turnip diced (optional)
6 sprigs parsley minced
salt, pepper to taste
spaghetti or macaroni

In four quart covered pot cook meat for approximately 1-Hour adding celery, tomatoes, (stewed or diced) add potatoes, cabbage, carrots, spaghetti, season to taste, cook for an additional 45-minutes.
