Personal Notes:
I have been making this famous cake for 35 years, getting the recipe from my dearest friend, Denise, when we were Air Force wives. Both of us continue to make this for our families. Jack and Emily Spitler, my grandkids love this cake as well as my kids. I am now teaching my newest granddaughter, Mia to love it. The cake is true comfort food.
