3 cups sugar
2 1/2 cups water
rind of 3 lemons, grated finely
1 quart vodka
3 tablespoons almond extract
2 tablespoons real vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, water and lemon rind in a large pan. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat, add other ingredients, stir. Store in airtight jars.
