3 c. Sugar 3/4 c. Water 2 tbsp. Vinegar 1 tsp. Butter
Cook until it forms a hard ball in cold water. Then take off stove and pour into a pan with 1 tsp. butter spread on it. As soon as you can handle it, grease hands slightly and pull until it becomes white and hard. Stretch into long ropes. When hard, chop into short peices with a knife. It is best to pull with just your finers. This should be stored for a day to soften.
