Ingredients:
Crust:
4 1/2 ounces (1/2 package) "Famous Chocolate Wafers", crushed (found in the cookie/cracker aisle)
1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
7 tbsp. butter, melted

Filling:
1 - 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk, carmelized (** see instructions)
1 1/2 cups whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla
3 tbsp. powdered sugar
3 medium ripe bananas
cocoa and/or chocolate shavings for garnish

Directions:
Directions:
**To carmelize sweetened condensed milk boil the can UNOPENED, completely submerged in water for 5 hours, adding more water as necessary. (yes, that's right-5 hours. I do several cans at a time and store them unopened for future use.)

Combine crushed wafers, pecans, and melted butter and pat on bottom of an 8 or 9 inch springform pan. Refrigerate until firm. Remove crust from refrigerator and spread carmelized milk over the crust. (It will be thick.) Slice bananas thinly over carmelized milk and push them down slightly. In a bowl whip the cream, vanilla, and powdered sugar. Cover banana layer with whipped cream. Refrigerate for several hours. Remove sides of spring form pan and sprinkle with cocoa and chocolate shavings.
