1 1/4 c boiling water
1 c Quick cooking oatmeal
1 stick margarine
1 c white sugar
1 c brown sugar
2 whole eggs
1 1/3 c flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Pour the boiling water over the quick cooking oatmeal and margarine. Cover and let stand for 20 min. Stir the remaining ingredients altogether. Grease and flour a large pan ( 13 x 9 1/2 x 2). Bake in at 350 for 35 min.
Topping (just mix): 6 T soft margarine
1 c chopped nuts
1/2 c white sugar
1/4 c evaporated milk
1 c coconut
1 tsp.vanilla
Spread over cake while hot. Place under broiler for 2 or 3 minutes.
